A CareSource spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com that the company's two Downtown offices, which include about 125,000 sf in One Dayton Centre and approximately 15,000 sf in the National City Bank Building, will be consolidated into the new headquarters at Main Street and Monument Avenue. The company currently employees about 600 people in its Dayton offices, and another 100 people work in its offices in Indiana and Michigan. In the next few years, the company expects to employ 1,100 people.

Construction of the new facility, which is being financed through the Dayton-Montgomery County Port Authority, will occur in two phases. The first phase, which is expected to commence during the first quarter of 2007, includes the demolition of the existing structures and site preparation.

The headquarters building is slated for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2008. Cincinnati-based BHDP Architects designed the new facility, which will include large floor plates and flexible floor designs to accommodate the company's projected growth. Officials of CareSource, a Medicaid managed care services company, say the decision to build a new headquarters was made after reviewing all available space options.
