Goodman to Head up IPC

TORONTO-IPC US Real Estate Investment Trust names CFO Gary Goodman to replace Vinay Kapoor at the head of the company.

TORONTO-IPC US Real Estate Investment Trust has appointed Gary Goodman as president and CEO effective January. Goodman is currently the executive vice president and CFO, and was part of the managing team that founded it in December 2001. He succeeds Vinay Kapoor, who has served in the position since its IPO in 2001. Kapoor has decided to step down to focus his attention on a US start-up company focused on development in India.

“Gary has played an important role in the development of the REIT,” says Donald MacDonald, chairman of the Board of Trustees. “He brings significant real estate industry experience, financial depth and continuity to IPC REIT.” IPC also announced that David Dinniwell, formerly vice president of finance, has been appointed chief financial officer. IPC US REIT is the only Canadian real estate investment trust that invests exclusively in US real estate.
