IRVING, TX-Three months after acquiring the 400-acre, 397-room Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at La Colinas, BentleyForbes plans a phased $150-million-plus expansion and improvement program at the North Texas Resort. The building is minutes from Downtown Dallas.
Forty villas and 40 condos will be built in the first construction phase over the next 18 months, says C. Frederick Wehba II, vice chairman and co-founder of BentleyForbes. The long-term construction plans call for a total 80 luxury condos. Wehba says the championship golf courses, sports club, room interiors, restaurant, lobby, common areas and pool facilities will all be refurbished. He says the expansion and improvement program "will dramatically enhance the landmark status" of the resort.
HKS Inc. and Morrison, Seifert, Murphy are the project's architects. The final design and construction timelines are expected to be set in second quarter 2007. The development start is anticipated before year-end 2007.
BentleyForbes purchased Four Seasons in August from USAA Real Estate for an estimated $200 million, as reported by GlobeSt.com.
