DALLAS-With its acquisition by Texas Pacific Group and Warburg Pincus complete, The Neiman Marcus Group is growing both its namesake stores and its new Cusp concept, executives said in its first quarter conference call. The company plans to open six Neiman stores in the next four years, with units to open in Austin, TX; in March, and Natick, MA in fall 2007.

“We are reviewing other prospective sites,” said Burton M. Tansky, president and CEO. Neiman also will open two more Cusp stores by the end of the fiscal year, for a total of four. But the younger-skewing, edgier specialty stores (averaging 7,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet) remain a work in progress.
