The company will relocate from 10,000 sf of space at 125 Summer St. and 15,000 sf at 99 Summer St. to the 9th and 10th floor in the 800 Boylston St. tower during the next few weeks, taking space once occupied by the Gillette Co. In August, as reported by GlobeSt.com, Gillette put 325,000 sf of space in the Prudential Center up for sublease as its parent company, Proctor & Gamble, attempted to scale back Boston operations. The company leases 19 floors in the tower.
"It makes perfect sense for Boston to have a booming education-focused information services consulting company to grow into this space," James Boyle, with Trammell Crow Co.'s Boston office, tells GlobeSt.com. "It's very encouraging."
Terms of the lease were not disclosed but Boyle says space in the 52-story, 465,239-sf tower generally leases in the mid $30s per sf. Except for some space on the 20th and 22nd floor, the Back Bay tower is almost fully leased, Boyle says.
Boyle, along with Peter Farnum, also with TCC, handled the transaction for the tenant. Richards Barry Joyce & Partners represented Gillette in the deal.
