The openings will increase the chain's store count to 63 units in 25 states. The company plans 20 to 25 new stores to open in 2007, and for a 100-store chain by 2008. According to the chain, recreational vehicles and related supplies and accessories are topping U.S. growth industries, with a 58% increase in RV ownership since 1980. As a result, the chain plans to open more Camping World stores across the United States.

"We are very much on target with our plans to reach these goals because we have the focus, talent and processes in place to make it happen efficiently," said Marcus Lemonis, CEO.

The three Atlanta openings (in Snellville, Oakwood and Woodstock, Ga.) all are shared locations with Camping Time RV, which sells and services recreational vehicles. The Snellville store is 9,200 sf, the others 2,900 sf.
