COLUMBUS- McKesson Medical-Surgical has signed a lease for 250,000-sf in Opus I at Big Run Industrial Park, which is at the interchange of Interstate 270 and Route 62 here. The tenant, a unit of health care services firm McKesson Corp., plans to take occupancy of the building during the first quarter of 2007, according to landlord Opus North Corp.

“It’s a great deal for the building,” says Andy Weeks, vice president of real estate development for Opus North. “The lease takes up more than half the space, it’s great to have that before a building is even finished. It’s a strong testament to the market here.”Situated on 25 acres, the 488,750-sf Opus I features parking for 180 cars and 59 trailers, 45 truck docks (expandable to 120), and three drive-in doors. The interior contains an ESFR sprinkler system, 32-foot clear height and 50- by 50-foot bay sizes. It also offers 100% 15-year real estate tax abatement.
