GWCAR To Focus on Services, Education Initiatives

WASHINGTON, DC-The Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors will concentrate on improving services and educational offerings, among other initiatives planned for 2007, according to its new president Marty Almquist, who is also managing director of leasing for Equity Office Properties, in charge of the company’s Northern Virginia portfolio. Prior to this, she spent 18 years as a broker with Grubb & Ellis.

GWCAR, the only association in the DC area to focus specifically on commercial brokers, has just elected its leadership for 2008. Tom Fulcher, executive vice president at Studley, will be taking the organization’s helm this time next year. Fulcher currently co-manages the Washington, DC office of Studley.

With that decision place, the organization is free to focus on the upcoming year.
