Davoren Takes Turner's Reins as CEO

NEW YORK CITY-In August, Thomas Leppert resigned as chairman and CEO of the Turner Corp. and Davoren was named his successor. The changing of the guard happened with the start of the new year.

NEW YORK CITY-Peter Davoren has taken over as chairman and CEO of the Turner Corp. Prior to taking the reins, a move that became official on Jan. 1, the 28-year company veteran was president and CEO of Turner Construction Co. As CEO, Davoren is now responsible for establishing the company’s direction for 2007 and beyond.

“I am privileged to have the opportunity to lead this company at this point in its history,” says Davoren in a statement. “With the support of a highly talented leadership team and staff, Turner is positioned to take new approaches and face the challenges in the industry head-on while maintaining the same core values of teamwork, integrity and commitment that our company’s founder, Henry C. Turner, put in place over 100 years ago.”

To push the company into the New Year, Davoren assembled an eight-person leadership team. According to the company’s website, members of the team include Nicholas Billotti, William Brennan, John DiCiurcio, Pat Di Filippo, Wilfried Eckert, Kenneth Leach, Rodney Michalka and Stuart Robinson.
