Yuxing, now NAI Yuxing, has one commercial brokerage office in Hangzhou, where it is headquartered, but plans to expand its commercial real estate services into several additional markets in 2007. NAI Global president Jeffrey Finn tells GlobeSt.com that his company now has four offices flying the NAI flag in China and will more than double that total by June. Likely near-term expansion markets include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Chengdu, he says.

"We started in China eight years ago and for the past five years have had a presence in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, but now both multinationals and investment clients are looking to expand deeper into China and pricing pressure starts to be felt in those initial markets," Finn says. "With them, we're looking at entering another 15 to 20 cities where there is abundant labor."

For Yuxing, the partnership with NAI will help it establish the global best practices in technology and operational models necessary to provide services at a global standard. The NAI partnership will also allow the company to market its local projects through the NAI network. "Becoming part of NAI positions our firm to participate in the global flow of business and capital," says Yunfan Zhang, principal and business director at NAI Yuxing.

NAI Global, headquartered in Princeton, NJ, manages a network of 5,000 commercial real estate professionals in 350 offices in 45 countries. The brokerage firms that fly its flag pay the company an annual licensing fee plus a percentage of the commission from deals generated through its network.

Zhejiang is one of China's wealthiest provinces and has been the recent beneficiary of significant public investment in infrastructure. Manufacturing in the province is focused on electromechanical industries, textiles, chemicals, food and construction materials.
