Richard Smith, a principal of Fort Washington-based Avir Realty Group Inc., represented Solid State in the renewal in negotiations with Tony Nichols, in-house representative for the owner, Malvern-based Liberty Property Trust. Smith tells GlobeSt.com that, under the terms of the agreement, Solid State will maintain occupancy "until the early years of the next decade."

Solid State develops and manufactures tools used to produce and process single-wafer semiconductor components for a variety of industries worldwide. It was founded 40 years ago.
