The package was arranged through Gov. Ed Rendell's action team. It includes a $1.1-million loan through the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority, a $440,000 loan through the state's Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund, a $100,000 grant from the Opportunity Grant Program and $67,000 in job creation tax credits.
Daniel Wheeler, director of the governor's action team, says the company will create 67 new jobs while retaining 49 existing positions. The HMC division makes commercial refrigerators, including cases for delicatessens and convenience stores, and has been headquartered here, operating under several names and different owners, since 1949. A call to Christopher Scott, a principal, was not returned by deadline.
