WASHINGTON, DC-Akridge and Mitsui Fudosan America are partnering to develop one of the last available sites in the East End of the District. Located at 700 Sixth St., the 12-story office building will be 300,000 sf. Estimated development costs are expected to reach $150 million, a spokeswoman at Akridge tells GlobeSt.com. The building, which will deliver in early 2009, is not preleased.

Designed by architect Bill Hellmuth of HOK, 700 Sixth St. will have an open floor plan to allow for flexible space planning, the spokeswoman says. The building will also incorporate sustainable design features including a green roof.
