OHSU Sells Land for $200M Senior Living Tower

PORTLAND, OR-A new 30-story continuing care retirement community is planned for land immediately north of Oregon Health & Science University’s new Center for Health & Healing. The estimated $200-million 507,000-sf tower is called Mirabella at South Waterfront. The developer and eventual operator, Pacific Retirement Services Inc. of Medford, OR, has agreed to pay OHSU $8 million for the property.

Plans call for Mirabella to have 281 units, including 224 independent living residences, 16 assisted living apartments, 20 skilled nursing private rooms and 21 special care private rooms. The development also will include clinic and research space, various amenities and social areas, and 244 parking spaces.
