SAN FRANCISCO-A 26,127-sf retail building here flanked by high-rise office towers on Market Street has changed hands for upward of $11 million, according to the brokerage firm involved in the deal. Locally based Capital & Counties USA Inc. sold the four-story building to Redwood Real Estate Partners LLC, a Rancho Santa Margarita-based investment group that includes professional tennis player Michael Chang and his brother Carl.

Located at 581 Market St., the building was constructed in 1907 and fully renovated in 1996. The building is 100% leased to Stacey's Bookstore. The bookstore's GM Tom Allen tells GlobeSt.com that its lease of the building runs to 2011.

Edward Suharski with Grubb & Ellis' San Francisco office represented Capital & Counties. Neither Suharski nor an executive with Redwood could be reached Wednesday afternoon for further comment on the acquisition.
