It is a multi-specialty healthcare group complex, one of few in the Eastern US that is not hospital-owned. Jim Walters and Laura Ciganek of Summit have been named property manager and assistant property manager, respectively, and they are located on site. Ciganek tells GlobeSt.com the complex is now approximately 75% leased. She declined to provide rental rates, since each tenant's space is specially priced, depending on the required fitout.

Among the tenants in the larger building are: OAA Orthopedic Specialists, Aesthetic Surgery Associates, Center for Allergy & Asthma Care, Breast Care Specialists and Advanced Breast Care Imaging. The Human Center and Velocity, which is a medically based health and fitness facility, and other nutritional and rehab support services are also in operation in the building.

Surgery Center of Allentown and Mocha Mike's will open in the larger building this April. St. Luke's Cancer Center has leased approximately 18,000 sf in the second building.

In a statement, Jim Gentile, president of locally based North Star, credits Summit with "helping us keep our costs down while providing the highest levels of service to our tenants and their patients." The construction cost is undisclosed, however, the developer invested $8 million in infrastructure at the site. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation required $4 million in road improvements to accommodate increased traffic, and North Star completed an additional $4 million in improvements that accommodate on-and off-site drainage.
