For the quarter, chainwide same-store revenues declined 2.9% from the previous year. Same-store sales declined 0.3% at the company's Movie Gallery chain and dropped 4.1% at its Hollywood Video stores. Operating income was $24 million.
For fiscal 2006, total revenues were $2.54 billion. Operating income was $102 million.
Final results, which will take into account normal year-end reconciliations and adjustments, will be announced in March.
Movie Gallery operates more than 4,600 stores located in the United States and Canada, under the names Movie Gallery, Hollywood Video and Game Crazy.
