Mark Cote, with T3 Realty Advisors in Waltham, tells GlobeSt.com that the building was a perfect fit for the growing software firm. The company was previously located in about 9,000-sf on Beaver Street.
"The space was built out, wired and ready to go so there was limited build out for Black Duck and it gave them great access to amenities and restaurants," he says.
Terms of the lease were not disclosed but Cote says similar space in the Waltham office market generally leases in the high $20s per sf.
Cote handled the transaction for the tenant while Bob Borgman and Chip Batchelder, both with Wyman Street Advisors, represented the building's landlord, Factory Mutual Insurance.
