For its initial store in South Jersey, serving the metro Philadelphia market, Crate & Barrel will occupy a freestanding site on the mall's grounds. Construction on its two-level building is just under way, with an opening slated for the fall.

As reported by GlobeSt.com, the 1.3 million-sf Cherry Hill Mall's redevelopment also includes the addition of a two-story, 140,000-sf Nordstrom, plus the Container Store and several other specialty retailers. All are expected to be open for business between now and the mall's scheduled grand re-opening in the spring of 2009. Existing anchors include Macy's, JC Penney and Old Navy.
