New York City's Gallagher's steakhouse and Rosa Mexicano will be joined by Dolce Enoteca e Ristorante and Ketchup, two signature restaurants of Los Angeles-based Dolce Group (whose celebrity co-ownership includes Ashton Kutcher, Wilmer Valderrama and Tara Reid). Washington-area mainstays Grace's Fortune and Sequoia complete the list of restaurants, including the previously announced McCormick & Schmick's. All are expected to open by spring 2008.

"This grouping of restaurants chosen for National Harbor will make this spectacular waterfront destination unlike anything this region -- if not the entire East Coast -- has ever seen," said Marc Menick, vice president, retail at National Harbor, in the announcement. "National Harbor will become one of the nation's premier dining and shopping attractions."

National Harbor's 300 acres, being developed by The Peterson Cos. of Fairfax, VA, will at build-out include seven million square feet of residential, retail and office space, as well as five hotels. Phase 1 will include 415,000 square feet of restaurants, fashion and entertainment space, 130,000 square feet of office space, and upscale condominiums. The complex will be located on the banks of the Potomac River, just south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Prince George's County, MD.
