"Up until now we have been handling our DC work from our Tyson's Corner office," says Georgelakos, who will oversee office sales and leasing efforts at the new office. Also staffing the DC office is KLNB principal Phil Ruxton as managing director of retail leasing.

According to Georgelakos, there are currently seven brokers in KLNB's Washington office and the company is looking to hire an additional five. It recruited five of the existing brokers internally and two externally.

The company also plans to open a regional office in Loudoun County, VA mid-year.
