JLL Appoints Thurman Chief Diversity Officer

CHICAGO-Cedric Thurman is being appointed as chief diversity officer for Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.'s North America region.

CHICAGO-Cedric Thurman was appointed this week as the chief diversity officer for Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. North America region. Thurman was appointed to the newly created position to advance diversity and inclusion for Jones Lang LaSalle in the US and Canada. He has worked for Jones Lang LaSalle since 2000 and had served as senior vice president in the accounts group of the firm’s Chicago office.

As chief diversity officer, “Thurman will be responsible for creating and implementing a long-term strategic plan that will define, assess, nurture and cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion. He will be responsible for designing and implementing programs to increase the diversity of individuals, retained, developed and promoted in the firm,” according to a released statement. Thurman was out of town and was not available for comment.
