TransGuard Moves Into 26,000 SF of Own Space

NAPERVILLE, IL-The company, formerly a subsidiary of Sirva Inc., is moving into 26,255 sf at 215 Shuman Blvd.

NAPERVILLE, IL-TransGuard Insurance Co. of America Inc., which had been a subsidiary of Sirva Inc., is moving out of Sirva’s headquarters in Westmont, and into 26,255 sf at 215 Shuman Blvd. here. TransGuard is a provider of insurance services to moving agents, small truck fleets and owner operators. The firm was sold to IAT Reinsurance Co. Ltd. in January.

The company is scheduled to move into the Naperville location in June. Since they were previously a division of and sharing space with Sirva, it is not known exactly how much space they were occupying in Westmont, but they will be increasing their space by approximately 20%, says Marilyn Lissner, executive director with Cushman & Wakefield. The term of the lease is “a little more than 10 years,” Lissner says. Lissner would not disclose the lease rate, but the average direct leasing rate for similar class A buildings in the area is $20.99 per sf.
