Following opening remarks by Michael G. Desiato, Real Estate Media's group publisher and editorial director, "RealShare Phoenix Fact or Fiction" will feature two experts discussing the myths and realities of the metro markets. David Krumwiede, executive vice president with Lincoln Property Co. and Kurt Rosene, senior vice president with the Alter Group, will square off in the segment at the April 19 event, slated for 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Camelback Inn at 5402 E. Lincoln Dr. in Scottsdale.

Immediately following the point-counterpoint session, Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc.'s managing director, Tom Johnston, will moderate a Town Hall meeting. The focus will be on whether or not the red-hot Phoenix and national commercial real estate market have reached their peak. The hour-long discussion will focus on where the market is headed and how national fundamentals will impact local real estate and business.

This year's concurrent sessions will cover capital market updates, industrial real estate development, office leasing and investment and the status of the multifamily and condo sectors. RealShare conference series director Rich Kelley says the main goal for this year's conference is to offer information and assistance that's in step with the times and trends.

"One of the panels we're doing this year is called 'Will the West Valley be the Next Boom Market,'" Kelley says. "Our research shows that the West Valley comes up repeatedly as a focus of conversation." It made sense, therefore, to put together a session on that one submarket.

Kelley says this year's conference was developed with last year's feedback in mind. Although RealShare 2006 offered a lot of information, Kelley says participants' suggested it might have been a little too much since they said they couldn't attend all the sessions that they wanted. As a result, this year's RealShare will feature fewer concurrent sessions. "We want to grow on what we did well last year and produce another event that covers all the bases, provides rock-solid information and outstanding networking," he says.

RealShare Conferences, which are held nationwide, are produced by Real Estate Media, the publisher of GlobeSt.com, GlobeSt.RETAIL, Real Estate Forum magazine, and other print and online publications devoted to commercial real estate.
