At the 684 company-owned Outbacks in the US, comps were flat, while the 107 domestically owned by franchisees or through joint-venture agreements posted a 2.3% drop. The company also operates 167 international units, for which same-store sales were not broken out.

OSI's second-largest chain, the 234-location Carrabba's Italian Grills, all domestic and company owned, reported a 1.3% drop overall and a 2.8% slip in the US. The 127-unit Bonefish Grill chain had a dip of 0.6% overall, though its seven franchise units posted a 0.3% gain.

The best-performing chain was 50-location Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bars, all of which are company owned and in the US, reporting a 3.3% rise. The 23 Roy's restaurants, which are all domestic and operated directly by OSI, dropped 2.2%.
