TAMPA, FL-OSI Restaurant Partners, the company that owns Outback Steakhouses and a number of other chains, saw posted a first-quarter same-store sales drop year over year, across nearly all of its concept. The largest, the 958-unit Outback, had a comparable-sales drop of 0.5% in the US.

At the 684 company-owned Outbacks in the US, comps were flat, while the 107 domestically owned by franchisees or through joint-venture agreements posted a 2.3% drop. The company also operates 167 international units, for which same-store sales were not broken out.

OSI’s second-largest chain, the 234-location Carrabba’s Italian Grills, all domestic and company owned, reported a 1.3% drop overall and a 2.8% slip in the US. The 127-unit Bonefish Grill chain had a dip of 0.6% overall, though its seven franchise units posted a 0.3% gain.
