CBRE Takes Leasing Reins for 1M SF of MXD

DURHAM, NC-Capital Broadcasting Co. taps the firm to lease the American Tobacco Campus and Diamond View buildings, both located in the American Tobacco Historic District.

DURHAM, NC-Looking to fill space at several of its holdings here, Capital Broadcasting Co. has turned to CB Richard Ellis to lease the American Tobacco Campus and Diamond View buildings. The properties are located in the American Tobacco Historic District.

The American Tobacco Campus has seven buildings for lease with a total of 700,000 sf of office and retail. According to CBRE, the buildings were converted from warehouse to class A office and retail in 2004. The tenant roster includes McKinney + Silver, Intersouth Partners, Duke University, GlaxoSmithKline and TIAA-CREF.

The Diamond View buildings consist of Diamond View, with 90,000 sf of office, and Diamond View II, with 150,000 sf of office and retail. Diamond View II is under construction, with an expected delivery date in the first quarter of 2008. In addition, according to CBRE, 100,000 sf of office and retail is planned for Diamond View III.
