JLL Hires NYC Team From C&W

NEW YORK CITY-Jones Lang LaSalle has hired a team of three away from Cushman & Wakefield in an effort to boost its New York City team. Power broker Larry Tannenbaum, who was most recently an executive director at C&W where he oversaw the Downtown market, as well as John Moxley and Nathanael Pennington have all joined JLL. The new group will focus on tenant representation and agency activity in both the Midtown and Downtown markets.

“Larry Tannenbaum was our ideal choice of a leader to add to our New York team,” says Peter Riguardi, president of JLL’s New York region. “His experience ranges from negotiating intricate office space deals for some of the most recognized names in business to overseeing the needs of a large portfolio of commercial real estate for ownership interests. Larry’s breadth of expertise will be key to serving our Midtown and Downtown clients effectively.” C&W did not return a request for comment.

A 30-year veteran, Tannenbaum will be responsible for managing existing relationships and new opportunities as a managing director. While at C&W he was in charge of Olympia & York’s 19-million Downtown portfolio. He has also been the lead broker on a number of significant transactions, with a client roster that includes Merrill Lynch & Co., Goldman Sachs Group, Bank of America, AIG and AOL Time Warner. He has been the lead broker on a total of 10 million sf of tenant rep assignments and 25 million sf of agency assignments.
