National Union Fire Insurance Co. leased 25,765 sf. The company was represented by John Ferguson, of Cushman & Wakefield, in the transaction. National Christian Foundation leased 36,351 sf and was represented by Bill Leonard, of William Leonard & Co.

Duke Realty Corp. vice president Craig Flanagan that the tenants selected the space because of the amenities offered and its proximity to GA 400. National Union Fire Insurance Co. will move into the space in June and National Christian in July. "The leasing activity is a reflection of the overall economy in Atlanta and the location of the property," he says.

Northwinds V is within the NorthWinds Center, which is a 258-acre master planned development that is zoned for four million sf of class A office space, 500,000 sf of retail space, 600 hotel rooms and 800 apartment units.

The two leasing transactions brings absorption in Duke's office portfolio to 132,362 sf. "We're off to a solid start in 2007 and expect continuing strong and steady demand for class A office space in metro Atlanta," says Duke Atlanta office senior vice president Kerry Armstrong.
