This is the first RealShare event to be held in Atlanta. "First and foremost this will be networking event so participants can get face time with brokers, developers and other real estate professionals the operate in the Atlanta market,' says RealShare conference producer Jason Young.

The event will be kicked off with a "Pardon the Interruption"-style debate between two industry pros, Hines vice president Kurt Hartman and CB Richard Ellis vice chairman John Shlesinger. Hartman and Shlesinger will debate the "top 10" real estate topics. "This is a fun and fast-paced way to entertain and enlighten about the market," Young says.

This session will be followed by a "Town Hall Meeting," during which participants will discuss the economy, job growth and business retention, the pipeline for development and other trends. Participants will include Marcus & Millichap vice president and regional manager John Leonard, Turner Construction Co. senior vice president Paul Little, Barry Real Estate Cos. president & COO Lance Patterson and Selig Enterprises vice president Scott Selig.

Concurrent early morning sessions will be devoted to the outlook for leasing investment and development in the city's multifamily market, a discussion of the city's record-breaking investment sales market, and corporate real estate perspectives. Three noon-hour concurrent sessions will be held on the office sector forecast; leasing, investment and development in the industrial market; and getting deals done in the heated debt and equity capital markets.

The last session will be a networking luncheon session with a special presentation on green buildings and sustainable design. "We think our event will have many key differences from other events," Young says.

RealShare Atlanta, along with other RealShare events nationwide, is produced by Real Estate Media, publishers of GlobeSt.com, GlobeSt.RETAIL, Real Estate Forum magazine and other print and online publications devoted to commercial real estate.
