Schnitzer Northwest Becomes Schnitzer West

BELLEVUE, WA-The locally based real estate investment and development partnership of Portland, OR-based Schnitzer Investment Corp. changes its name to reflect its broadening geographic focus.

BELLEVUE, WA-Schnitzer Northwest is headed south and has changed its name to match its broadening geographic focus. The locally based real estate investment and development partnership of Portland, OR-based Schnitzer Investment Corp. and Seattle-based developer Dan Ivanoff has changed its name to Schnitzer West to reflect its would-be expansion into the major markets of Colorado and California.

As Schnitzer Northwest, the company developed and acquired some three million sf of office, condominium, retail and industrial space primarily in the Puget Sound region. As Schnitzer West, the company now also will be looking for opportunities in Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Ivanoff says.
