With the ground lease now in hand, Detrick Properties will develop the 24-acre parcel. Plans call for the construction of class A office, technology and research space as well as the retail, and hotel/conference component. There will also be a significant amount of green space with water features and pedestrian pathways to connect on- and off-post facilities.

Other participants in the project include the Landings Real Estate Group, which will provide development and management services; the design team of The Lessard Group, a Virginia-based architect; and engineering firm Greenehorne & O'Mara with hospitality operator Sodexho. Dick Corp. and Hunt Development Group have privatization and military construction experience for the Air Force, Navy and Army on other housing and EUL developments.
