AMB Signs 295,000-SF Industrial Lease With GM

PARIS—In a transaction consuming more than 10% of AMB Property Corp.’s industrial supply in the country, General Motors has committed to 295,000 sf at a 600,000-sf warehouse seven miles north of downtown. The AMB Gonesse Distribution Center has already landed another six-figure tenant, securing a pre-lease earlier this spring from one of the region’s top freight-forwarding companies.

“We’re pleased to have developed a facility that meets modern Class A industrial standards,” says Guy Jaquier, AMB’s president for the Europe and Asia sectors. Jaquier calls the GM agreement a “milestone” for the hulking project, which is in the Gonesse Industrial Park. Product quality was a key reason GM tabbed Gonesse after a site search throughout the greater Paris market, offers Jaquier. Besides extensive clear heights and loading docks, AMB Gonesse is equipped with state-of-the-art fire safety/suppression and security features.
