24 Hour Fitness Inks First at Miramar Town Center

MIRAMAR, FL-Twenty-Four Hour Fitness has signed a 35,000-sf lease to operate a Shaq Sport Club in the Miramar Town Center that is under construction. It is the first tenant to come aboard the project.

New York City-based Rockefeller Group Development Corp. and Kimco Developers Inc., the developers of the 54-acre, $235-million Miramar Town Center, will begin building the two-story fitness center at the corner of Red and Hiatus roads in the next month. It is slated for completion early next year.

24 Hour Fitness director of real estate Bill Oughton described the town center as a strategic location for the company. “We believe we will receive tremendous support from the residents of Miramar as we expand our presence in South Florida through our Shaq Sport Clubs,” Oughton says, in a prepared statement.
