Designed by locally based Asymptote Architecture, the roughly 60,000-sf property, which is scheduled for fall 2008 occupancy, has projected prices of $2100 per sf, notes James Lansill, senior managing director of Corcoran Sunshine Group, exclusive sales agent for the project. Richard Born, developer of the project, tells GlobeSt.com that construction costs are roughly around $500 per sf.

Amenities include a fitness center, a 24-hour doorman, concierge services, a restaurant and private storage facilities. "Residences will range from $2 million to $11.5 million," Lansill explains.

Lansill further notes that the building further solidifies the West Village as an incubator for inventive architecture. "Buyers are enthusiastically embracing the non-predictable nature of its design," he says. "It is very interesting to see that buyers now consider this particular area--the far West Village--to be perhaps New York City's most sought after neighborhood, when only eight years ago, they were intimidated by it as a 'pioneering' location."
