Principal Kevin Clifton and associate Peter Kelly, both with Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, represented TicketsNow in the lease transaction. Mark Smith, with CB Richard Ellis, represented building owner Lincoln Property Co. in the lease transaction.
TicketsNow will be relocating in August from its headquarters at 620 N. Route 31 in Crystal Lake. The company's executive offices and information technology groups will be located at the Atrium Corporate Center, Clifton says. "They wanted to be in an accessible location for current and future executives and information technology people and they wanted to have a state-of-the-art building," he says. The company will continue to lease approximately 30,000 sf in Crystal Lake, he says. The company was founded in 1992 and currently employs 200 people with sales of $202 million in 2006.
The three-story Atrium Corporate Center was constructed in 1969 and renovated by 3Com Corp., when the corporation purchased it in 1998. Lincoln Property Co. purchased the property in 2006 for $62 million, as reported by GlobeSt.com. The building is currently 90% leased. Harris Bank and Riverside Publishing both lease more than 100,000 sf each, Clifton says. The asking lease rate for the building is $23 per sf gross.
