Belgrade's Delta City Mall Hits 100% Occupancy

BELGRADE-A 915,000-sf shopping mall touted as the first international-style retail complex to be built in Serbia has reached full occupancy prior to the property’s November opening. Serbia-based Delta Holding is developing the mall known as Delta City, an urban lifestyle center that will accommodate New Belgrade’s largest residential area, notes general manager Ana Disic. Approximately two million people could be served by the mall, says Disic, with 600,000 located within a 10-minute drive.

“As a pioneer in this industry, we are bringing a totally new shopping culture to the market,” Disic adds in a release announcing the leasing milestone. The $117-million project, says Disic, “is going to transform shopping and the fantastic entertainment facilities will make it a major attraction not only for the people of Belgrade, but for the whole country.” Besides 120 stores, Delta City’s footprint will include a bowling alley, cafes and restaurants, 10-screen movie theater and a separate play area for children.
