A representative for SL Green tells GlobeSt.com that asking rent for the building is $52 per sf; however, they were not able to comment on the aggregate lease value. Steven Durels, EVP and director of leasing and Real Property for SL Green says, "Our relationship with CBS at 555 W. 57th St. continues to be strengthened and we are delighted when we are able to accommodate this valued tenant as it expands its broadcast operations."

Located at the corner of 11th Avenue and 57th Street, the 20-story property, containing 975,983 sf, was built in 1973 and features river views from all floors and a parking garage at its base. In addition to CBS Broadcasting Inc. the building is home to the offices of BMW, St. Luke's Roosevelt, and the City University of New York.

CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant in this transaction. Other office tenants include BMW of Manhattan Inc., City University of New York, St. Luke's Roosevelt and Writers Guild of America East Inc.
