BOLINGBROOK, IL-Peacock Engineering Co., based in Geneva, IL, has signed a lease for the 443,010-sf building at 1100 Remington Blvd. The building is part of Bolingbrook Corporate Center West, being developed by IDI, based in Atlanta. The term of the lease is 10 years.
Jeffrey Janda and Jim Planey, with Lee & Associates, represented Peacock Engineering in the lease transaction. Jeff Smith, vice president of leasing and development with IDI, represented IDI and Benjamin Cremer and Michael Robbins, with NAI Hiffman, were the listing brokers. Representatives from IDI were not available for comment.
The company, which provides contract packaging services for the consumer food industry, is expanding with the Bolingbrook facility after winning a contract with a cereal company and needing additional packaging and distribution space, according to a released statement from IDI. The building, which was completed in 2006, has 32-foot clear-height ceilings and 48 dock doors. After tenant improvements are completed, the facility will have 100,000 sf of packaging space, 18,700 sf of office space and 20,000 sf of warehouse.
Peacock Engineering will move in to the new facility in August. The asking lease rate is $3.45 per sf per year, according to the listing by NAI Hiffman.
