CGK executive director Dick Bradshaw cites the assistance of Newmark Knight Frank in getting the lease secured quickly to meet the firm's expansion goals. The commercial real estate services firm "provided excellent market information and top-notch advice within a very tight timeframe," says Bradshaw, whose firm has been opening new offices throughout the east coast, and now has a presence in New York City; Reston, VA; and Washington, DC. CGK is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA.

James Adams, a principal in the Boston office of Newmark Knight Frank, says the Prudential Center not only had the necessary space to accommodate his client within a brief 30-day window, but adds that the high-end space was "consistent with the image" CGK wanted to project. Owned by Boston Properties, the Prudential Center Tower is an icon of Boston's Back Bay, an eclectic district where office space is now renting into the $60-per-sf range. Terms of the length or pricing of the CGK pact were not divulged.

Along with Adams, other members of the Newmark Knight Frank leasing team assisting in the CGK transaction were James Thomson, managing director of the Boston office, and two brokers in Washington, DC, Aaron Katz and Pat Nalls. The sub-lesser was represented by Tom O'Regan of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners.
