According to Steve Center, senior vice president of office leasing for Shea Properties, Cushman & Wakefield will be seeking corporate headquarters tenants, lifestyle-conscious companies, environmentally friendly users and emerging growth corporations. The Cushman & Wakefield team will include Eric Hinkelman, Rick Kaplan and Greg Brown.

When completed, the new Legacy Park development is slated to include 2,100 homes in addition to the more than six million sf of non-residential space, which will feature major office, retail, entertainment, educational and community support facilities. More than 170 acres will be dedicated to parks and recreational open space that will include a two-mile community park with walking spaces, playgrounds, natural areas and sports facilities.

When Shea unveiled its plans for the first phase of office construction in June, Center pointed out that the office portion of the development would be part of a project that will include hotels, restaurants, shops, a health club and housing, all designed in an outdoor-oriented plan to take advantage of the Southern California climate.

Center noted that the site had attracted the interest of numerous high-profile corporate tenants and that the location is close to virtually all of the major freeways and arterial routes traversing Orange County as well as the Tustin Metrolink Station and the John Wayne Airport. Shea closed escrow earlier this year on the first 300 acres of land that will become phase one of Legacy Park, which is being developed by Tustin Legacy Community Partners LLC.
