Lloyd A. Rosenberg, president, CEO and founder of DMR Architects in Hasbrouck Heights, and Charles H. Sarlo, the firm's vice president and general counsel, have teamed up to launch Green Economics, Inc., a professional consulting firm. The aim is to provide advice and counsel to the construction industry and the corporate world on the economic benefits of green buildings.
"The root of this consulting practice stems from identifying a need our clients and peers have for direction on navigating the LEED certification and accreditation process," Rosenberg says. "The firm will provide expertise in all phases of the process, from energy efficiency and environmental strategies to certification paperwork."
"The mission is to advise clients on recognizing and assessing how sustainable design, in existing and new buildings, provides quantifiable financial benefits in terms of operational savings and long-term valuation," Sarlo says.
Green Economics, Inc. will focus on various area of sustainable building, as well and energy efficiency and environmental strategies, LEED rating system consultancy, certification paperwork, energy and daylight modeling, commissioning, life-cycle cost assessment and economic impact assessment.
