Officially on the job now four days, Evans tells GlobeSt.com that Carr Properties will hew to its value-add investment strategy of office assets. Recent company projects include the sale of a four-building office park in Fairfax, VA to PS Business Parks for $25 million, LEED-designed office developments in Alexandria, VA and 901 K St. in the District.

"We don't see making any changes to the success the company has had in the Greater Washington, DC area," Evans says. "I will be working on strengthening and possibly broadening the existing platform." Evans' background includes experience not only in office sales and development but also in the retail, residential and industrial sectors.

"We are extremely pleased that Steve has joined our team bringing with him a breadth of experience and market knowledge that will be central to our success as we continue to aggressively pursue value-added opportunities in the Greater Washington area," Oliver T. Carr, III, president and CEO of Carr Properties says in a company statement.
