TEANECK, NJ-Issues and topics related to government and the public sector continue to dominate the discussion in New Jersey commercial real estate circles, and they're at the top of the agenda for the upcoming RealShare New Jersey conference. And while questions about the economy loom, as often as not they're tied to public sector issues.

That's because while the state of the economy might be problematic, the picture is further muddied by questions of New Jersey's competitiveness with other states and whether state government is business-friendly enough. Combine that with questions of eminent domain, urban redevelopment and environmental issues, and the picture gets even muddier.

The sixth annual conference, slated to take place Oct. 4 at the Glenpointe Marriott here, is expected to draw more than 600 top-level real estate executives. The RealShare Conference Series is produced by Real Estate Media, publishers of GlobeSt.com Real Estate New Jersey and Real Estate Forum.
