[IMGCAP(1)] ORLANDO-Former GVA Advantis executives William Bradford Jr. and Tom McFadden have formed their own company, Southern Commercial Real Estate Advisors LLC. The company will focus on industrial and commercial real estate in Florida.
Prior to forming the company, the team was recruited to start the industrial group at GVA Avantis, where they worked from February 2002. Officials from GVA Advantis did not comment on the new company.
During their time with GVA, the mean were companywide top 10 producers during 2005 and 2006 and were top area producers from 2003 through 2006. "We started the GVA industrial group in 2002 and decided it was the right time in our careers to start our own company," McFadden tells GlobeSt.com.
[IMGCAP(2)]Southern Commercial Real Estate Advisors currently represents 15 local, regional and institutional clients, specializing in leasing, dispositions, land sales, buyer and tenant representation, build-to-suits and site selection for companies seeking office and warehouse space in Florida. The team currently handles more than 4.4 million sf of assignments. McFadden estimates that approximately 80% of the deals the company, which focuses on Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake and Polk Counties, does are industrial.
Bradford and McFadden have combined industry experience of more than 38 years. In the five years they have been working together, they have completed more than 300 commercial and industrial real estate transactions, totaling more than $230 million in volume and representing more than 6.1 million sf.
In addition to Bradford and McFadden, the company has two additional employees. "We wouldn't mind finding a broker with more experience in the office sector," McFadden says. "Our goal is not to build a large brokerage company but to expand slowly over time."
