Leasing and marketing efforts of the project are being handled by Pat Mead, Kathee Wozniak and Tom McMahon, of Irvine, CA-based Sperry Van Ness. The project is expected to draw a mix of national and local retailers. Bob De Camera, of Prudential Mountain Properties and an owner of the project, is handling condominium sales.

Marketing efforts for the project have started with letters of intent signed for approximately 9,000 sf of the retail space. Tenants that have expressed interest in the space are national tenants, such as high-end clothing stores, fitness businesses and food establishments, Wozniak tells GlobeSt.com. "National tenants have been drawn to the area because of what's been happening there," she says.

The project is the only mixed-use development in Boone. It is situated at the second busiest intersection in town and is within walking distance to Downtown. Among goals of the project is to connect the area to Downtown and Appalachian State University. "The area is primarily a college town that has been growing," Wozniak says. "Retirees have been moving into the area and buying second homes."
