VAUXHALL, NJ-Drug Fair has renewed its lease for 21,000 sf at the Lightstone Group's Millburn Village Mall here. The renewal carries a term of 20 years; further details were not released.

For both Drug Fair, a chain of 40 stores in New Jersey, and Millburn Village Mall, the signing also heralds a pair for makeovers. For the retailer, the deal marks the unveiling of a new prototype that includes a new pharmacy waiting area, a new home healthcare area and other changes. The Somerset, NJ-based company spent an estimated $1 million to incorporate those changes into the location.

And the 67,000-sf Millburn Village Mall, located at 2933 Vauxhall Rd., has also celebrated a grand re-opening following a $2 million exterior makeover. The latter involved new corner towers, a color-coordinated stucco finish, new canopies and lighting, a newly paved parking lot and landscaping upgrades, according to Jeff Dash, VP of leasing for the Lakewood, NJ-based Lightstone. Besides Drug Fair, the center is anchored by Staples and Union Center National Bank. “The revamped property is a thriving retail destination,” Dash says.
