BOONE, NC-Wilmington, NC-based Boone Station Partners has broken ground on Boone Point, a mixed-use project off the intersection of US Highway 421 and US Highway 221. The project will contain approximately 17,000 sf of retail space, 4,700 sf of office or second floor/soft retail space and 10 condominiums. Completion of the project is anticipated in September 2008.

Leasing and marketing efforts of the project are being handled by Pat Mead, Kathee Wozniak and Tom McMahon, of Irvine, CA-based Sperry Van Ness. The project is expected to draw a mix of national and local retailers. Bob De Camera of Prudential Mountain Properties and an owner of the project is handling condominium sales.

Marketing efforts for the project have started with letters of intent signed for approximately 9,000 sf of the retail space. Tenants that have expressed interest in the space are national tenants, such as high-end clothing stores, fitness businesses and food establishments, Wozniak tells GlobeSt.com. “National tenants have been drawn to the area because of what's been happening there,” she says.
