Skyline Buys Site to Expand Retail Holdings

ASTORIA, NY-The Manhattan-based company closes on the $22.5 million purchase of the former movie theater at 28-56, 28-60 Steinway St. in Queens.

ASTORIA, NY-Orin Wilf, president of Skyline Developers LLC, closed on the purchase of 28-56, 28-60 Steinway St., which is located on the corner of 30th Ave. and Steinway St. in Queens. Wilf acquired the building from a group of local investors for a purchase price of $22.5 million.

Formerly a movie theater, the building, built in 1920, currently houses a New York Sports Club, Duane Reade and a branch of Washington Mutual Bank. Skyline has been in the news recently as it is currently building two residential condo buildings, one at 170 East End Ave. and the other at 37 Wall St., as GlobeSt.com has reported.
