Balfour Beatty Realigns Management

FAIRFAX, VA-Balfour Beatty Construction has made a handful of internal promotions, and, in a move to bolster its growing focus on team-based development, has rehired Mark Konchar, as division VP of business acquisition. Promotions at the company include Matt Dye move to division VP of operations and business unit leader; David Salzer, to division SVP of operations; David Laib, to division SVP of operations; and Mike Phillips to division SVP of operations.

Konchar first joined Balfour Beatty Construction in 1999. In his new position, he will be responsible for the Integrated Projects group, focusing on large design-build and design-assist projects. Konchar also will play a major role in Balfour Beatty’s projects procured through Virginia’s Public-Private Education and Infrastructure Act.
